Critics accuse the Duchess of Sussex of turning sensitive moments into commercial opportunities
Meghan Markle is facing renewed criticism after allegations surfaced that she used recent charity visits to promote fashion items for profit.
The controversy centres on her appearances in Australia alongside Prince Harry, including a visit to Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital and meetings with survivors of the Bondi Beach terror attack.
Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield, speaking on TalkTV with Kevin O'Sullivan, claimed that outfits worn by Meghan during these engagements were quickly featured on a fashion platform where she reportedly holds a role as investor and curator.
Schofield argued that the timing raised concerns, suggesting the clothing was promoted almost immediately after the visits. She described the situation as inappropriate, accusing Meghan of leveraging interactions with vulnerable individuals, including ill children and attack survivors, for commercial gain.
According to the commentator, such actions would not have aligned with the standards upheld by Queen Elizabeth II, adding that the late monarch would have strongly disapproved.
The claims have sparked debate online, with critics questioning the ethics of blending charitable appearances with business interests, while supporters argue that such accusations remain unproven and speculative.
