King Charles III has received a special Green Blue Peter Badge in recognition of his lifelong commitment to protecting the environment.
The honour was awarded on Earth Day, marking his continued efforts to promote sustainability and conservation. According to reports shared by the BBC, the presentation took place at Dumfries House and will feature in an upcoming special episode of the children’s programme Blue Peter.
Presenter Joel Mawhinney handed the monarch the prestigious green badge, traditionally given to individuals who have made a meaningful impact on environmental causes.
The recognition highlights Charles’s long-standing work through The King’s Foundation, which focuses on sustainable communities, environmental education, and preserving traditional skills while encouraging harmony with nature.
The ceremony also coincided with the closing event of the foundation’s 35th anniversary time capsule initiative.
The special episode of Blue Peter is scheduled to air on CBBC on May 1, 2026.
