Prince William is reportedly deeply angered by recent comments made by the Duke of Sussex during his visit to Australia, according to a new report.
The remarks in question referred to Harry previously saying he did not want royal life and felt strongly against the role because of the impact it had on his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.
A source told Closer magazine that William was especially upset because the comments were made in Australia, where King Charles III remains head of state.
The insider claimed tensions have grown further as some within royal circles are reportedly supporting the idea of Harry and Meghan Markle returning to a more active family role.
According to the source, those voices believe reconciliation could help improve the monarchy’s public image following recent controversies.
However, the same report said William strongly opposes that idea and views any return for the Sussexes as a serious mistake.
The source added that William believes allowing Harry and Meghan back into royal duties while keeping their titles could create more problems in the future and leave him dealing with the fallout later.
No official comment has been made by Buckingham Palace or representatives for the Duke of Sussex regarding the claims.
