Friends of the former Duchess of York are said to be standing by her during difficult period
Sarah Ferguson is said to regret her past friendship with late financier Jeffrey Epstein, according to reports citing people close to the former Duchess of York.
When asked whether Sarah had regrets over the association, one source reportedly said, “What do you think? Of course she does.”
The same report claimed Sarah continues to receive support from close friends during the controversy.
A source said she has loyal friends who know her well and are willing to help, adding that she would not be left without support.
Meanwhile, it has long been understood that Sarah no longer holds any role in official royal life.
Reports state she is not invited to private royal gatherings at Sandringham or Balmoral and is unlikely to appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony again.
In constitutional terms, Sarah remains a private citizen with a globally recognised name.
Earlier this month, she was reportedly staying at a secluded luxury ski resort in the Austrian Alps.
Sources claimed she later moved on from the lakeside retreat and may now rely on wealthy contacts for assistance.
Insiders also alleged that during her stay, she largely remained inside a first-floor two-bedroom chalet overlooking the lake and was rarely seen outside.
It was further claimed that Eugenie and Beatrice’s mother ordered all meals through room service.
