Catherine is said to have become far more cautious about who she keeps close following a challenging period for the Royal family and her own health battle.
The Princess of Wales has long been praised for her dedication to the monarchy and her commitment to protecting its future. However, a new report claims that recent events have pushed her to place even greater importance on loyalty and discretion.
According to RadarOnline, Catherine has become increasingly selective about the people she trusts within her inner circle.
An insider claimed, “Over the past few years, Kate has become extremely selective about the people she allows into her trusted inner circle.”
The report suggested that ongoing tensions involving Harry and Meghan Markle, along with several controversies surrounding the Windsor family, have influenced her approach.
Recent headlines involving Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson were also mentioned as examples of the difficulties facing the family.
As a result, Catherine has reportedly placed a “much stronger emphasis” on protecting the stability of the Wales household while surrounding herself with trusted individuals.
The insider also addressed her relationship with Princess Eugenie, claiming there is now a sense of caution because Eugenie remains one of the few royals still publicly close to Harry.
However, the source stressed there has been no major dispute between the two women behind palace doors.
“It’s not as though Kate and Eugenie have had some dramatic falling out or major confrontation behind closed doors,” the insider explained.
Instead, the source claimed the distance between them has developed gradually as both now occupy “very different spaces” within the Royal family and focus on separate priorities.
