King Charles III has reportedly responded to fresh claims surrounding Meghan Markle and her alleged conditions for returning to Britain with her children, Archie and Lilibet.
Reports suggest Meghan shared a number of concerns through her husband, Prince Harry, as discussions continue over a possible UK visit later this year.
According to Heat World, Harry and Meghan are expected to travel to Britain in July for an Invictus Games event, with Charles said to be hopeful of reconnecting with his younger son and grandchildren.
A source told royal commentator Richard Eden: “The King hopes to see more of his son and spend time with his grandchildren. This will happen in Britain before long.”
Another insider claimed Harry remains anxious about how Meghan could be received during a return to the UK and is seeking reassurances from his father before finalising plans.
“King Charles is looking forward to welcoming the Sussexes this summer, but Prince Harry is extremely nervous over how Meghan will be received when she’s on UK soil,” the source alleged.
The insider added that Harry has reportedly pushed for “clear-the-air talks” with the monarch in hopes of securing guarantees ahead of the visit.
Meanwhile, royal watchers have pointed to a subtle change at Charles’s Gloucestershire residence, Highgrove House, as a possible sign of shifting family dynamics.
Photos shared online by royal photographer Chris Jackson appeared to show that a framed image of Harry and Meghan from their 2018 wedding day had been removed from display.
In its place was reportedly a photograph featuring Harry alongside his father and elder brother, Prince William.
Another picture displayed nearby showed King Charles holding his grandson, Prince Louis.
