Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor makes fresh security demand after masked man incident

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is reportedly seeking enhanced security measures following a frightening incident near his home at Marsh Farm.

The former Duke of York is said to have raised concerns about his personal safety after a masked man allegedly behaved in an intimidating manner close to the property.

According to reports, a source close to Andrew claimed the recent security scare has highlighted the risks he continues to face despite no longer being a working royal.

Speaking to The Telegraph, the insider said: “Even though Andrew is no longer a working member of the Royal Family, the threat to his personal safety is greater than ever.”

The source added that the Duke remains vulnerable not only to potential terror threats but also to individuals who may have become obsessed because of the intense media attention surrounding him in recent years.

“His security provisions need to be appropriate for someone with such a high profile,” the source said. “There should be a review, which gives proper consideration to Andrew.”

Meanwhile, Norfolk Police confirmed officers responded to the incident on Wednesday evening.

In an official statement, police said: “Officers were called shortly after 7.30pm yesterday following a report a man was behaving in an intimidating manner in the village.”

The statement continued: “Officers attended, and the man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and possession of an offensive weapon. He was taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning.”
