Prince Andrew is said to be increasingly frustrated with his life away from the royal spotlight following a reported security scare near his new home in Sandringham.
According to reports, the incident happened close to Marsh Farm in Wolferton while the Duke of York was out walking his dogs. A man allegedly came within metres of Andrew’s vehicle in what was described as threatening behaviour, leaving the former royal unsettled.
The incident has once again raised questions about Andrew’s security arrangements after his withdrawal from public royal duties following his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Royal commentator Jennie Bond claimed the situation could intensify Andrew’s resentment over his current circumstances and living arrangements.
She told The Mirror that Andrew may now push harder for increased security support funded by his brother, King Charles III.
Bond also suggested the Duke of York may feel bitter about living in the more public surroundings of Sandringham after being distanced from frontline royal life.
“This will obviously make Andrew more nervous about going out, but he does always appear to have at least one bodyguard with him — and the fact is, he escaped without harm,” she said.
The royal expert added that the incident showed Andrew remains a target and is likely to use the situation to remind the King about his security concerns.
