Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are once again facing criticism in the media, with fresh claims suggesting the couple intentionally shifted attention away from King Charles III during an important royal visit.
According to reports, tensions inside the Royal Family have continued to grow over what some insiders describe as a repeated pattern from the Sussexes. Critics claim the couple often dominate headlines at the same time senior royals carry out official engagements.
The latest controversy reportedly surrounded the King and Queen Camilla during their three-day visit to Northern Ireland between May 19 and May 21. The trip included engagements in Belfast, Royal Hillsborough, Ards Allotments and visits to local businesses.
However, media coverage surrounding Harry and Meghan’s wedding anniversary ended up drawing significant public attention during the same period, something palace insiders were allegedly unhappy about.
A source quoted by RadarOnline claimed there is “enormous frustration” within some palace circles because similar situations continue happening whenever major royal events take place.
The insider alleged that every time the King or Queen undertake an important engagement, “something appears from Harry and Meghan that drags media attention back toward themselves.”
According to the source, some within royal circles now see the situation as “cringeworthy and deliberate,” believing it is an effort to overshadow Charles and other working royals.
The report also claimed there is growing frustration among critics who believe Harry’s public appearances, speeches and interviews have become part of a wider image-rebuilding campaign.
Another insider even alleged palace aides joke privately about the couple having a “hijacking diary” to track royal engagements and release news or appearances at the same time to remain in headlines.
Neither Harry nor Meghan has publicly responded to the latest claims.
