Prince Harry is reportedly leaning heavily on Meghan Markle as the couple navigates their financial future, according to a new insider claim.
A source speaking to Star magazine alleged that Harry remains far more passionate about philanthropy than business ventures, even though their lifestyle requires a steady stream of income.
“Harry is way more focused on charity work and nobody would deny that it’s what he does best,” the insider claimed. “But that doesn’t pay the bills and it’s asking an awful lot of Meghan to keep propping them up for the foreseeable future.”
The source also suggested that Harry is trying to contribute more financially but struggles to fit into the Hollywood business world in the same way Meghan allegedly has.
“He’d love to make more but he’s hampered by the fact that he’s in Hollywood and not really in the same league as Meghan when it comes to business,” the insider added.
Another issue reportedly comes down to Harry’s reluctance to use his inheritance to support the family’s day-to-day lifestyle, including the upkeep of their sprawling nine-bedroom Montecito mansion.
Meanwhile, Meghan has reportedly thrown herself into a number of female-led lifestyle and beauty-related ventures, including partnerships and investments tied to brands such as Highbrow Hippie, Midi Health and OneOff.
While the source claimed Harry admires Meghan’s drive, they also suggested he feels uncomfortable with some aspects of the celebrity business world.
“It’s no secret he’s been feeling uneasy about the materialistic, superficial nature of Hollywood for some time now,” the insider alleged. “Seeing his wife at the center of it can be hard.”
