Duke of Sussex said to be upset after being excluded from cousin Peter Phillips' wedding
Prince Harry has reportedly been left feeling "deeply hurt and humiliated" after claims emerged that he was not included on the guest list for his cousin Peter Phillips' upcoming wedding.
According to reports, Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson will not attend Peter Phillips' wedding, which is expected to take place next month. Meanwhile, Prince William, Catherine and other senior members of the Royal Family are reportedly expected to be present.
A source quoted by Closer claimed that the Duke of Sussex was shocked by the alleged decision.
"Harry genuinely didn't believe it would come to this," the insider said.
The source added that the exclusion has been particularly painful for Harry, who is said to be hoping for a reconciliation with his family.
"Being frozen out of Peter Phillips' wedding has delivered one of the deepest blows yet to Harry," the confidant claimed.
The insider further suggested that Harry once shared a close bond with his cousin.
"Growing up, he adored Peter. He always saw him as one of the more grounded, trustworthy members of the family," the source said.
Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties in 2020 before relocating to the United States, where they now live with their children.
The Duke of Sussex's strained relationship with the Royal Family has remained a major topic of discussion in the years since. Harry has addressed the family rift in several high-profile interviews, including his 2021 conversation with Oprah Winfrey, and later in his 2023 memoir, Spare.
While reports continue to circulate about efforts to repair family ties, the alleged wedding snub is said to have left Harry feeling increasingly isolated from some of his royal relatives.
