Prince Harry’s Quiet Response to King Charles Missing Montecito Visit

Duke of Sussex said to back father’s stance despite missed family reunion

The recent proximity between Prince Harry and King Charles III may have raised hopes of a reunion, but no meeting ultimately took place during the monarch’s latest trip. Still, behind the scenes, the situation appears more positive than it looks.

According to royal expert Jennie Bond, Harry understands the pressures surrounding his father’s visit, describing it as a “high risk” journey tied to an important diplomatic mission. Although Charles did not meet his grandchildren, Harry is said to be accepting of the circumstances.

There is also a sense that the Duke of Sussex viewed the visit’s broader outcomes favourably, particularly events involving Donald Trump at the White House. Harry had previously voiced similar concerns on global issues, and it appears he and his father remain aligned on key matters such as support for Ukraine.

Bond suggested that Harry may have felt Trump did not merit the attention that came with hosting the King and Queen. At the same time, he is believed to have quietly admired how Charles handled the situation, delivering measured yet pointed responses.

She noted that Harry likely appreciated his father’s subtle rebuttal of remarks concerning British military forces and naval strength, adding that both father and son appear united in their stance on international affairs despite ongoing personal distance.
