Shamed Andrew’s ‘biggest transition’ during royal exile revealed

Andrew keeps his distance from the Royal Family as tensions continue

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is reportedly facing one of the most difficult periods of his life as he adjusts to life away from the Royal Family.

The former Duke of York, now living at Marsh Farm, is said to be struggling with the emotional fallout surrounding his relationship with his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

In his book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, author Andrew Lownie claimed the reported distance between Andrew and Eugenie highlights how strained family ties may have become.

“The suggestion that Eugenie did not tell her father about her pregnancy shows just how fractured that relationship could be,” Lownie wrote.

He also suggested that senior royals are likely to continue keeping their distance publicly in order to protect the monarchy’s image, even if private contact still exists behind closed doors.

Lownie noted that Andrew’s relationship with his siblings may also have changed over time, adding that members of the family could be increasingly aware of the reputational damage linked to being associated with him.

According to reports, Andrew has turned to nature and animals for comfort as he attempts to cope with the pressure surrounding the allegations and ongoing public scrutiny.

Speaking about the impact the controversy has had on his loved ones, Andrew previously admitted the situation had been “very hard to deal with.”

“The hardest thing was how it affected my family and the burden it placed on them,” he said. “For that, I am sorry beyond words, and unfortunately I will have to live with that regret for the rest of my life.”
