Will Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor Ever Face Justice? Biographer Shares Stark Prediction

What are the chances that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor could ever end up behind bars or formally face justice?

Questions surrounding accountability have followed Andrew for years, especially after King Charles previously insisted that the legal process should “take its course.” Now, however, Andrew’s unofficial biographer has offered a blunt assessment of what he believes will ultimately happen.

Speaking on Tom Sykes’ The Royalist podcast, author Andrew Lownie, who wrote Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, was asked whether he believed Andrew would escape justice despite the controversy.

Lownie replied without hesitation, “Yes, I think he will.”

According to the writer, the public is already being prepared for the possibility that no charges will ever be filed. He argued that the Royal Family has no interest in seeing private matters exposed in open court.

“I think it can go different ways,” Lownie explained. “One is to say that he was never a public servant. He was just a royal secondment, so that malfeasance doesn't work.”

He also pointed to potential complications involving testimony and legal proceedings. Lownie suggested there could be difficulties persuading women connected to the alleged sex trafficking case to testify. He further claimed that Andrew’s legal team could argue he would struggle to receive a fair trial because of the intense media attention surrounding the case.

Another issue, according to Lownie, is the possibility that Andrew could attempt to involve his brother in court proceedings.

“The danger is that he wants to call his brother to give evidence in the court, which he's entitled to do,” he said, adding that the King appearing in court would create a constitutional dilemma.

Lownie also suggested there may be broader concerns within royal circles about what could emerge publicly if the matter were pursued further.

“The worry of blackmail behind the scenes,” he claimed, “saying, ‘Look, why am I being fingered when you guys all knew about it and did nothing?’”

In the end, Lownie believes the situation is being quietly pushed aside in the hope that time and a new royal era will eventually overshadow the controversy.
