Meghan Markle is once again facing criticism over her standing in Hollywood, with insiders claiming that she and Harry have struggled to maintain relationships with influential figures.
According to reports, concerns about the Sussexes’ behaviour behind closed doors have left many former associates distancing themselves from the couple.
One anonymous source told Page Six that Meghan Markle and Harry fail to recognise why relationships around them continue to fall apart.
“They don’t get it. They never think it is them,” the insider claimed, adding that the couple have “no bridges left to burn” but remain unaware of what caused the growing divide.
The same source alleged that the pair are highly focused on celebrity connections and status.
“They love famous people — they are very name-droppy,” the associate said. “The association gives them a kick. But if someone stops calling, they don’t ask why.”
The discussion around Meghan’s reputation was also addressed by Paula Froelich, who suggested that many within elite social circles no longer want to spend time with the Duchess of Sussex.
According to Froelich, there are “lots of reasons” behind the distancing, before adding the remark that Meghan “might sell clothes while using their name.”
Separate insiders also claimed the couple often expect luxury accommodations and costly arrangements from those around them.
“They ask for a lot of resources to be spent as they believe it is a privilege to be in their circle,” one source alleged. “They think they are entitled to all the private planes.”
Several high-profile figures who were once frequently linked to Meghan Markle are now reportedly seen less often in her company, including Oprah Winfrey, Victoria Beckham and former close friend Serena Williams.
