Royal Family shares Trooping the Colour preparations featuring Charles, Camilla, Anne and Edward
The Royal Family gathered on Saturday to mark the official birthday celebrations of King Charles III as Buckingham Palace shared a series of photos ahead of Trooping the Colour.
Posted on the Royal Family's Instagram account, the images featured King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne and Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, preparing for the annual military parade held in honour of the monarch's official birthday.
"Members of the Royal Family at Buckingham Palace this morning ahead of Trooping the Colour," the post's caption read.
While the photographs highlighted the King alongside his siblings Anne and Edward, one notable family member was absent. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, did not appear in the images.
Trooping the Colour remains one of the most significant events in the royal calendar, bringing members of the Royal Family together for a public display of celebration and tradition. Andrew's absence from the official photographs once again underscored his continued distance from public royal duties following the controversies that led to the loss of his royal roles and titles.
