Football icon celebrates Hollywood Walk of Fame recognition while reports continue to swirl about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's future finances.
Former football star David Beckham has received one of America's most prestigious honours, earning a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and joining some of the biggest names in entertainment.
The former Manchester United and England captain described the recognition as a "truly incredible moment" as he addressed supporters gathered on the famous Hollywood Boulevard on Friday.
Reflecting on the achievement, Beckham said he never imagined receiving such an honour as a working-class footballer from England.
"I've always been a dreamer, but I could never have imagined that an honor like this would come to a working-class English soccer player like me," he said.
Beckham also highlighted the growing popularity of football in the United States ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted across North America.
"It's a powerful moment to recognize how the sport I love so much has grown in this country over the past three decades," he added.
His wife, Victoria Beckham, praised the sport's rapid growth in America, saying football is entering one of the most exciting periods in its history, making the honour particularly meaningful.
The celebration comes as Meghan Markle and Harry continue to face speculation about their financial future in California. Reports have suggested the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could face challenges maintaining their current lifestyle after stepping back from royal duties and losing major deals with Netflix and Spotify.
While Beckham enjoys a landmark moment in his career, questions remain over how Meghan Markle and Harry will navigate their long-term financial plans in the United States.
