King Charles and Prince William have reportedly been warned about growing tensions involving Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, amid claims that he remains furious over his treatment by the royal family.
According to OK!, royal insiders have claimed that Andrew is “seething” and has no intention of stepping back quietly after being stripped of his royal titles and asked to leave Royal Lodge.
One source alleged that Andrew believes he has been unfairly treated and is refusing to accept responsibility for the controversies surrounding him.
“He refuses to take even a shred of accountability and claims the way he’s been treated is a disgrace,” the insider claimed.
The report further suggested that Andrew, the father of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, has convinced himself that King Charles is deliberately trying to remove him and the wider York branch from the royal fold.
Insiders also claimed that the situation has become a major concern for both Charles and William, who is next in line to the throne.
“Make no mistake, this is a man who’s hellbent on revenge,” one source claimed, adding that Andrew has become a serious problem for the royal family behind palace walls.
Last year, King Charles began the formal process of removing Andrew’s style, titles and honours following renewed scrutiny of his links to Jeffrey Epstein.
In a statement issued by the palace in October, it was confirmed that Andrew would now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
The statement also said that his lease on Royal Lodge had previously given him legal protection to remain at the property, but formal notice had been served for him to surrender the lease and move to alternative private accommodation.
“These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him,” the palace statement said.
Andrew has continued to deny the allegations made against him.
