Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly preparing to visit the UK next month with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to arrive during the week of July 6, 2026. Their visit is said to be tied to the launch of the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham, England.
Reports suggest King Charles has extended an invitation for the Sussex family to stay at a royal residence on a royal estate during their time in Britain.
The King is believed to be looking forward to seeing his younger son and grandchildren, with some insiders describing the situation as a possible “warming of the frost” between them.
However, Piers Morgan has claimed the monarch still faces a major dilemma when it comes to Harry and Meghan.
Speaking on The Royals Uncensored podcast, Morgan said King Charles would naturally want to see Prince Harry as a father, but trust remains a serious issue.
“The King, as a father, would love to see his son,” Morgan said. “Obviously he would. Charles doesn't like confrontation. He would just like it to be calm.”
He added: “The problem is, how do you trust these two?”
Morgan appeared to be referring to the public criticism Harry and Meghan have made about the royal family in recent years.
Royal commentators have also suggested that a meeting between Prince Harry and Prince William is unlikely during the visit. Relations between the brothers are still believed to be strained, and William is not expected to meet the Duke of Sussex.
So far, there has been no official confirmation on whether Harry will meet King Charles during the trip.
The King has not seen Archie and Lilibet in person since Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.
