King Charles Leads Garter Day Procession as Buckingham Palace Shares New Photos

Royal family gathers at Windsor for Britain’s oldest Order of Chivalry

Buckingham Palace has shared a new set of images showing King Charles leading members of the royal family during the annual Service for the Most Noble Order of the Garter at Windsor Castle.

The ceremony took place at St George’s Chapel and brought together senior royals for one of the most historic events in the royal calendar.

The King and Queen Camilla were joined by other members of the royal family, all dressed in ceremonial robes and insignia, as they took part in the traditional procession through the grounds of Windsor Castle.

The images were posted on the official royal family Instagram account, alongside a caption explaining the significance of the occasion.

It noted that the Order of the Garter, founded by King Edward III nearly 700 years ago, remains the oldest and most senior Order of Chivalry in Britain.

The post also highlighted that Companions are personally chosen by the Sovereign in recognition of public service, national contribution, or service to the monarch.

The annual ceremony remains a key fixture in the royal calendar, drawing attention for its blend of pageantry, tradition, and symbolism.
