King Charles presented honours during an investiture ceremony held at Windsor Castle on Wednesday.
According to a statement, several notable recipients were recognised for their contributions across sport, healthcare and the arts.
Among those honoured were Georgina Stanway MBE for services to association football, Katherine Sciver-Brunt OBE for services to women’s cricket and the community in Yorkshire, Dame Amanda Pritchard for her contribution to the National Health Service, and Anne Reid CBE for services to drama.
The royal family also shared photos from the ceremony on social media, showing King Charles with some of the recipients.
The honourees were named in King Charles’ New Year Honours list, which recognised more than 1,157 people from fields including politics, sport, the arts and community service.
The New Year Honours, which date back to at least 1890, are intended to recognise both high-profile figures and individuals whose long-standing work has made a meaningful contribution to national life.
