Queen Camilla warns King Charles over Prince Harry and Meghan reunion: ‘A grave mistake’

Queen Camilla is reportedly concerned about King Charles’ possible reunion with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, warning that the monarch should not be too quick to welcome the couple back into the royal fold.

According to royal insiders who spoke to Closer, Camilla believes any show of leniency toward the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could prove to be “a grave mistake.”

The source claimed that while Camilla often stays quiet and allows Prince William to take the lead when it comes to concerns over Harry and Meghan, she has decided to speak up ahead of the couple’s reported summer visit.

“Most of the time Camilla bites her tongue and lets William lead the anti-Sussex lobbying,” the insider claimed. “But there are certain instances where she does speak up, and this summer trip is one of them.”

The source further alleged that Camilla believes King Charles needs to stop being “naïve” and see Harry and Meghan as a “threat.”

The report comes amid claims that Harry and Meghan could reunite with King Charles next month, raising questions over whether the family’s strained relationship may finally begin to thaw.

However, Camilla is said to remain deeply hurt by the Sussexes’ past remarks about the royal family, including comments made during their Oprah Winfrey interview and claims Harry made in his memoir Spare.

The insider suggested that Camilla struggles to understand how King Charles could consider forgiving the couple after everything that has been said publicly.

Earlier reports also claimed that Camilla has refused to meet Meghan, despite suggestions that the Duchess of Sussex is interested in repairing royal ties.

According to Radar Online, Meghan has reportedly been exploring ways to rebuild relations with the royals and may even consider approaching Queen Camilla as part of that effort.

So far, neither Buckingham Palace nor representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have publicly commented on the latest claims.
