Prince William has shared a new video message to mark five years since the launch of his climate initiative, the Earthshot Prize.
The Prince of Wales posted the message on his official social media accounts, celebrating the progress made by the project since it was founded half a decade ago.
In the video, William reflects on the mission behind Earthshot, which was created to find and support people working on practical solutions to protect the planet.
“Money is moving, policy is shifting, lives are changing, and our Earthshot Prize finalists are driving extraordinary change for our planet,” he says in the message.
The video also highlights some of the impact made by Earthshot finalists over the years, including efforts to restore key species to the wild, rebuild damaged ecosystems, improve air quality through policy changes and prevent pollution from reaching waterways.
Prince William launched the Earthshot Prize in 2020 with the aim of encouraging urgent action on climate and environmental challenges.
The latest message comes as the initiative celebrates five years of backing innovators and communities working to deliver real progress for the planet.
