Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly preparing for a return visit to the UK next month with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, and a royal expert claims the Duchess of Sussex is playing a key role in the plans.
The Sussexes stepped back from royal duties in 2020 before relocating to North America, a decision that sparked years of public tension with the royal family.
In recent months, Harry has spoken openly about wanting to repair his relationship with his father, King Charles, fueling speculation about a possible reconciliation.
The Duke of Sussex is also believed to be planning a visit to Britain this summer as part of events marking the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games.
Harry and Meghan's last UK visit with Archie and Lilibet took place during Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June 2022, just months before the late monarch's death.
Despite ongoing strains within the royal family, including his well-documented rift with Prince William, Harry has maintained that he will "always be part of the royal family."
Amid reports of a possible return, royal commentator Rob Shuter claims sources close to the couple believe Meghan is leading the effort.
"This is Meghan's project, not Harry's," an insider reportedly said, adding that Harry has largely come to terms with past events while Meghan remains focused on reshaping public perception.
According to the source, Meghan has always had strong confidence in her ability to influence public opinion and believes there is still an opportunity to change the narrative surrounding the couple.
"If anyone can pull off a comeback, she thinks it's her," the insider claimed.
While the reports remain unconfirmed, they have added to growing speculation about the Sussexes' future relationship with the royal family and whether a reconciliation could eventually be on the horizon.
