Duke of Sussex faces fresh family tension as reports claim a disagreement with his uncle Charles Spencer
A new report suggests that Harry has fallen out with his uncle, Charles Spencer, over an upcoming documentary focused on his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.
According to claims shared by New Idea, the disagreement centres on a project being developed ahead of the 30th anniversary of Diana’s death. Harry and Meghan Markle were reportedly hoping to secure support from the Spencer family, including access to family archives connected to Diana's legacy.
However, sources allege that their requests were not well received. One insider claimed that permission to use certain materials was firmly rejected, creating fresh strain between Harry and his uncle.
“This was long overdue,” the source reportedly said, adding that Charles had been one of the few family members still willing to maintain a close relationship with his nephew and perhaps act as a mediator during family disagreements.
The insider further alleged that some members of the family view the documentary as being focused more on Meghan Markle than on Diana herself, a perception that reportedly left Charles feeling offended.
Meanwhile, Meghan is said to be deeply upset by the situation. According to the report, she feels hurt by the rejection and is concerned that the dispute could result in the couple losing access to the Spencer family's archives and the historic Althorp House estate, where Diana is buried.
The claims have not been publicly confirmed by Harry, Meghan Markle, or Charles Spencer.
