The rift between Prince Harry and Prince William appears to be as deep as ever, with a new report suggesting the Duke of Sussex has little confidence in his brother's future as monarch.
According to an insider who spoke to Heat magazine, Harry remains highly critical of William behind closed doors and is said to believe the Prince of Wales is overly focused on power and authority.
"Harry is very snarky about William," the source claimed. "He thinks he's obsessed with power and will be a total nightmare once he gets it."
The insider further alleged that Harry often tells friends and associates that the public has yet to see William's true personality.
"Harry says people don't know the real William the way he does," the source said. "He believes many would be shocked if they saw that side of him."
According to the report, Harry has questioned whether William possesses the temperament needed to become king. The source claimed the Duke views his older brother as stubborn, hot-headed and unwilling to back down when challenged.
"He is not shy about saying that William doesn't have the temperament to be king," the insider alleged. "Harry believes he's too vindictive and too harsh to be an effective ruler."
The source also claimed Harry often points to William's behavior growing up, arguing that his brother has always preferred being in control and struggled when situations did not go his way.
"According to Harry, William has been that way since childhood," the insider said. "He can be very sensitive and quick to lose his temper when things don't go as planned."
The report goes on to suggest that Harry believes King Charles is aware of the challenges facing the monarchy's future. The source alleged that Harry sees his father's continued dedication to royal duties, despite undergoing cancer treatment, as evidence that Charles feels a strong responsibility to maintain stability.
Perhaps most strikingly, the insider claimed Harry is deeply skeptical about what a future reign under William could look like.
"Harry is predicting that once William is handed the keys to the kingdom, it will be an epic disaster," the source said. "He doesn't openly say he wants William to fail, but that's certainly how it comes across to some people."
While these claims remain unverified and have not been publicly addressed by either prince, they add to ongoing speculation about the state of the brothers' fractured relationship, which shows little sign of healing anytime soon.
