The Prince of Wales once shared memories of receiving a stern reprimand from his grandmother
Prince William has previously opened up about being scolded by Queen Elizabeth II, recalling moments when the late monarch stepped in after his youthful mischief.
One memorable incident took place during Trooping the Colour in 2016, when William appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony alongside members of the Royal Family. During the fly-past, the then-Duke of Cambridge was seen bending down to speak with his young son, Prince George, prompting a brief reprimand from the Queen.
William also shared another story about being told off by his grandmother in a Sky News documentary marking Queen Elizabeth II's 90th birthday in 2016.
Recalling a childhood mishap at Balmoral, William explained that he and his cousin Peter Phillips had been chasing Zara Tindall while she rode a go-kart.
"We were chasing Zara around who was on a go-kart, and Peter and I managed to herd Zara into a lamppost and the lamppost came down and nearly squashed her," William remembered.
The Prince of Wales said the Queen quickly rushed to the scene after the accident.
"I remember my grandmother being the first person out at Balmoral running across the lawn in her kilt. She came charging over and gave us the most almighty telling-off, and that sort of stuck in my mind from that moment on," he said.
The story offered a rare glimpse into the late Queen's role as a grandmother, showing that even future kings were not immune from a stern lecture when they got into trouble.
