Prince William Warns King Charles He Is Only ‘Delaying Disaster’ With Sarah Ferguson

Tensions are reportedly rising behind palace walls as Prince William and King Charles are said to be at odds over how to handle Sarah Ferguson's ongoing financial troubles.

According to claims published by Closer Magazine, concerns have emerged that the Duchess of York could potentially profit from revealing private royal matters if her financial situation worsens.

A source told the outlet that William is increasingly frustrated by reports that his father is considering a more conciliatory approach toward Ferguson rather than taking a firm stance.

The insider claimed that Charles "is not one to be told what to do, and certainly not by his own son."

The source went on to suggest that Ferguson is facing significant financial pressure and has allegedly been linked to rumours of a possible tell-all project. In Charles' view, however, completely shutting her out could create even greater problems.

According to the insider, the King believes maintaining communication may be the wiser course of action, rather than risking a public dispute with someone who has decades of knowledge about the royal family's private affairs.

"He is arguing that it could end up backfiring spectacularly," the source claimed.

The report further alleged that any potential arrangement would include strict conditions, including formal confidentiality agreements designed to protect sensitive family matters.

However, the source said that William remains firmly opposed to the idea.

"As far as William is concerned, none of that matters," the insider explained. "In his view, the monarchy should never be negotiating under pressure."

The source added that the Prince of Wales fears such a move could establish a dangerous precedent, suggesting that individuals might believe public threats or disclosures could be used as leverage against the Royal Family.

According to the insider, William believes that offering concessions now would not solve the problem in the long term.

"He says all Charles would be doing with this agreement is delaying the disaster," the source claimed.

While the reported disagreement highlights differing approaches within the royal household, neither Buckingham Palace nor representatives for Sarah Ferguson have publicly commented on the claims.
