Princess Anne Reunites With Prince Edward at Royal Ascot as Prince Andrew Remains Absent

Princess Anne joined her younger brother, Prince Edward, and his wife, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, during the Royal Procession on the third day of Royal Ascot on Thursday.

The Princess Royal and her husband, Sir Tim Laurence, rode in the second carriage alongside the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, while King Charles III and Queen Camilla travelled separately with other guests attending the prestigious racing event.

The gathering marked a rare public reunion for several members of the royal family at one of Britain's most celebrated social occasions. However, one notable absence was Prince Andrew.

The Duke of York did not attend the event and has remained largely out of the public spotlight in recent years. His public appearances have become increasingly limited following the removal of his honorary military roles and royal patronages amid controversy surrounding his association with the late convicted s*x offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Elsewhere in the procession, Anne's daughter, Zara Tindall, took part in the celebrations, riding in the third carriage alongside fellow guests.

Royal Ascot, one of the UK's most prestigious horse racing events, has been a royal tradition since it was founded in 1711. The five-day meeting continues in Berkshire, attracting members of the royal family, racing enthusiasts, and visitors from around the world.
