Why Royal Experts Believe Meghan Markle May Not Return to the UK

Speculation continues over whether Meghan Markle will return to the UK next month, with some royal commentators questioning whether the Duchess of Sussex will make the trip.

Recent reports have suggested that Meghan could travel to Britain alongside Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. If the visit goes ahead, it would mark the first time the Sussex family has returned to the UK together in four years.

However, not everyone is convinced the reported plans will become reality.

Speaking on TalkTV, presenter Kevin O'Sullivan said he believes discussions about the visit may be genuine but remains doubtful that Meghan will ultimately travel.

"I think the stories are undoubtedly true that these plans are afoot," he said. "I'm just not convinced that when push comes to shove that Meghan will actually materialise. That she will actually come back to Britain."

O'Sullivan also claimed that the Duchess is unlikely to enjoy returning because of what he described as her relationship with the British public.

"She doesn't like Britain. I don't think she'll like the lack of popularity she doesn't enjoy here in Britain," he added.

At this stage, there has been no official confirmation from Prince Harry or Meghan Markle regarding the reported visit. Likewise, no plans have been announced for a meeting between Prince Harry and King Charles III if the trip takes place.

The Sussexes last visited the UK as a family in June 2022, when they attended Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Until an official announcement is made, reports of the family's return remain speculative, while royal commentators continue to debate whether Meghan will choose to make the journey.
