Andrew is reportedly feeling “abandoned” by his daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, following what has been described as a public Father’s Day snub.
According to Heat World, the former Duke of York was upset after Eugenie shared a heartfelt Father’s Day tribute to her husband, Jack Brooksbank, without mentioning her father.
Eugenie and Jack share two sons, August and Ernest.
Sources claimed that Andrew now believes his daughters are distancing themselves from him as they try to maintain their positions within the wider royal family.
One insider alleged that Andrew had been working behind the scenes to support both daughters and protect their royal standing.
“Andrew simply cannot understand how it’s come to this,” the source said. “He insists he’s doing everything he can to help them behind the scenes.”
The insider further claimed that Andrew had appealed to King Charles for greater financial support for his daughters and had also tried to protect their titles.
According to the report, Andrew feels his efforts have not been appreciated and believes he has been left isolated by members of his own family.
“He’s feeling completely abandoned and left to rot by his own family,” the source claimed.
The report also alleged that Andrew has warned he may no longer protect relatives who are unwilling to support him.
Neither Princess Eugenie nor Princess Beatrice has publicly responded to the claims.
