Catherine, Princess of Wales and King Charles III are reportedly taking different views on the prospect of Prince Harry returning to the UK with his family.
According to Closer magazine, the reported disagreement centers on Harry's alleged plans to visit Britain with Meghan Markle and their children so they can remain connected to their British heritage.
A source told the publication that while King Charles remains hopeful the family can eventually reconcile, the Prince and Princess of Wales are said to be far more cautious after years of private family matters becoming public.
"Charles believes things can improve," the insider claimed, adding that the King "has never stopped hoping that the family will heal."
The source went on to allege that Catherine's main concern is not Meghan returning to Britain, but the potential consequences of renewed contact within the royal family.
According to the insider, the Princess of Wales fears "history repeating itself" if the Sussexes are once again welcomed into royal circles and included in private family moments.
The source further claimed that Catherine believes such a situation could allow the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to gradually rebuild close ties with the family in a way that makes senior royals uneasy.
