Kate Middleton is reportedly facing one of the most difficult situations of her life as tensions continue between Prince William and Prince Harry.
The Princess of Wales is said to feel torn between supporting her husband and maintaining her bond with her brother-in-law, whom she still deeply cares about.
A source close to the situation told Heat World that Kate is “caught between a rock and a hard place” because Harry remains an important member of her family.
“Harry is still her brother-in-law and someone she really cares about,” the source claimed.
However, the insider suggested that Kate cannot step into the dispute without causing William further distress.
“There’s just no scenario” in which she could involve herself without creating “a great deal of anguish” for her husband, the source added.
Ultimately, Kate is expected to stand by William.
“The reality is she has to side with him,” the insider said. “He’s her partner in life, and she simply would never go against his wishes.”
The source also claimed that Kate understands William’s feelings better than anyone. Although he may appear firm about the situation, she reportedly believes his reaction is partly driven by the pain he feels over the breakdown of his relationship with Harry.
“It’s not all tough love,” the insider explained. “Kate also recognises that underneath all of his bluster, William is in a lot of pain over this situation with Harry.”
