King Charles has an affectionate Urdu nickname for Queen Camilla, whom he married in 2005 following their long relationship.
The monarch has previously referred to his wife as his “mehbooba,” an Urdu word meaning “beloved.”
Charles used the term while addressing guests at a British Asian Trust event in 2022.
“I cannot quite believe it is almost two years to the day that both my mehbooba and myself were able to be with all of you,” he told the audience.
The affectionate remark offered a rare glimpse into the couple’s relationship, nearly two decades after they tied the knot.
Meanwhile, Camilla is reportedly supportive of Charles’ desire to repair his strained relationship with Prince Harry, although she is said to have no plans to become personally involved.
Royal experts told Fox News Digital that the Queen wants Charles, who is undergoing cancer treatment, to have the chance to spend more time with his grandchildren. However, she reportedly remains cautious because trust within the royal family has not yet been fully restored.
Royal broadcaster Ian Pelham Turner said: “Personally, I feel Camilla has been supporting Charles in his ambition to reunite with Harry, [but] Camilla regularly protects Charles’ interests.”
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams added: “Camilla is a believer in duty. She cares for the King and knows the rift has caused him worry.”
