Meghan Markle and Prince Harry agree to King Charles’ ‘demands’ ahead of UK return

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly agreed to a set of conditions laid out by King Charles as they prepare to return to the UK next week.

According to a report by the Daily Express UK, the monarch has extended an olive branch to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, but only under strict rules meant to keep the visit private and free from public controversy.

Royal expert Chloe Walker claimed that one of the key conditions is that Harry and Meghan must not film any private meetings with members of the royal family.

“These rules that they have agreed to, they’re quite interesting,” Walker said. “One of the rules is that they are not to film any of the private meetings that they have with any of the Royal Family.”

She added that the couple have also reportedly been told not to give interviews after the visit or share details of any private discussions.

“There will be no Oprah interviews or any revelations to come from the private meetings,” Walker claimed.

The expert further alleged that King Charles has made it clear the trip must not be used for commercial purposes. That means Meghan will not be promoting her As Ever brand or its products, including jam, while Harry is also expected to avoid keynote speeches during the visit.

“Another rule is that it’s not a commercial trip at all, so there’ll be no selling of jam and no keynote speeches from Harry during this trip,” Walker said. “Those are the rules, so no shenanigans!”

The report comes after royal commentator Rob Shuter claimed that Queen Camilla has also set her own condition for any possible meeting with Harry and Meghan. According to Shuter, Camilla has insisted that she be present if King Charles meets with the Sussexes.
