Now, a new report claims Meghan's presence during Harry's latest trip to the UK may have dashed Catherine, Princess of Wales hopes of having a private conversation with her brother-in-law.
According to an unnamed insider quoted by Heat World, Kate had hoped to speak with Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex one-on-one in an effort to encourage reconciliation with William, Prince of Wales.
The source claimed, "She had hoped to get Harry alone for a heart-to-heart, to talk sense into him and encourage him to apologise to William, but that won't happen with Meghan by his side."
The insider also alleged that some members of the royal family continue to hold Meghan, Duchess of Sussex partly responsible for the deepening rift between Harry, Charles III, and William.
"Most people in the family firmly believe that Harry was manipulated by Meghan and she played a part in turning him against them all, so there's a huge amount of distrust and bitterness," the source said.
According to the report, Kate believes Meghan's presence would significantly alter the tone of any potential interactions during the visit, making meaningful reconciliation less likely.
The claims surfaced shortly after Prince Harry arrived in the UK. Around the same time, reports from the BBC stated that the Duke of Sussex was no longer being offered accommodation at a royal residence during his visit.
