Meghan Markle was reportedly keen to attend Taylor Swift’s wedding, but she and Prince Harry were not included on the guest list.
Speaking on Piers Morgan Uncensored, journalist Piers Morgan shared his view on why Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly chose not to invite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Royal commentators Tom Bower and Katie Nicholl joined Morgan to discuss the challenges currently facing Harry and Meghan.
Bower claimed the couple had reached a difficult point in their public and professional lives.
“Harry and Meghan, in my view, have reached the end of a chapter,” he said. “They’re now facing a serious problem of survival. They have been judged to be unreliable and untrustworthy by the King and by the judge. What are they going to do for their income from now on?”
Morgan argued that public opinion of Harry and Meghan had changed significantly since they stepped down as working members of the royal family in 2020.
He suggested that their repeated criticism of the monarchy had damaged their popularity, particularly in Britain. He also claimed that many major celebrities now preferred to be associated with senior working royals, including King Charles and Prince William.
Nicholl pointed to Swift’s meeting with Prince William during the London leg of her Eras Tour. The singer posed for photographs with William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte backstage.
William and Kate Middleton were also reportedly invited to Swift and Kelce’s wedding and are said to have met the couple privately before the event.
Morgan concluded: “The A-listers want to be with Charles and William. They don’t want to be with the renegades trashing their family.”
