Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly made their position clear to Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice after Sarah Ferguson allegedly tried to reconnect with the couple.
According to a report by Closer, Ferguson has been keeping a low profile following renewed controversy linked to Jeffrey Epstein. The report claims she has been reaching out to Harry and Meghan through her daughters in the hope of rebuilding contact.
An unnamed source said Ferguson had been passing messages through Eugenie and Beatrice “for quite some time” and was trying to persuade Harry to reconsider because she would like to see him and Meghan again.
However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to have responded firmly while trying to avoid putting the two princesses in an uncomfortable position.
“They’ve let Beatrice and Eugenie know that they don’t want to hear from their mother again,” the source claimed.
The insider added that Harry and Meghan feel sympathy for Eugenie and Beatrice and do not intend to cut ties with them.
“They feel terribly sorry for Eugenie and Beatrice because neither of them asked to be caught in the middle of this,” the source said. “They have no intention of cutting them off, but they want to keep their relationship with them completely separate from Sarah.”
The report also claims that Harry and Meghan have asked the sisters to keep any personal conversations private.
According to the source, the couple does not want details about their lives being passed on to Ferguson because they are uncertain about how that information could later be used.
The reported tension highlights the difficult position facing Eugenie and Beatrice as they try to maintain relationships with both their mother and the Sussexes.
