Prince Harry has been urged to reconsider his approach to his legal and security battles, with royal commentator Phil Dampier claiming the Duke of Sussex is at risk of damaging himself further.
Speaking to New Idea, Dampier argued that the past few years have brought Harry considerable frustration and disappointment, particularly following his departure from royal duties.
According to the commentator, Harry has placed too much importance on his disputes with the British press and his campaign to regain police protection in the UK.
“He has staked everything on his battles with the press and his attempts to get security,” Dampier said, adding that Harry now appears unwilling to accept the outcome after suffering legal setbacks.
Dampier urged the Duke to reflect on his decisions, claiming he “needs to take a long, hard look at himself because he is in danger of self-destructing.”
The royal commentator also expressed concern about Harry’s wellbeing, saying he appeared “more detached from reality than ever.”
Dampier became even more critical when discussing Harry’s response to a recent court ruling. The Duke described the decision as a “whitewash” after his claims were dismissed.
“By branding the judge’s ruling a ‘whitewash’, despite failing to produce the evidence the court required, he seems to have lost the plot completely,” Dampier claimed.
Neither Prince Harry nor his representatives have publicly responded to the commentator’s remarks.
