Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly considering their children’s future as they explore the possibility of rebuilding ties with the Royal Family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to be hoping for reconciliation with King Charles, partly because they want Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to feel connected to their wider family, heritage and royal background.
Royal commentator Ingrid Seward told The Sun that the Sussexes may want to regain a place within the royal circle for the sake of their children.
She suggested that Archie and Lilibet could eventually question why they were not introduced more fully to their relatives, cousins and family history. According to Seward, this could become difficult for Harry and Meghan to explain when their children are older.
Seward also claimed that Harry appears eager to repair his relationship with the Royal Family and suggested that Meghan may see renewed royal connections as a way to improve her public image.
She argued that Meghan’s popularity in the United States has declined, although she continues to have a loyal group of supporters. Seward added that some critics view the duchess as someone who has become estranged from her own family while also distancing Harry and their children from his relatives.
Neither Harry nor Meghan has publicly confirmed that they are seeking formal royal positions again, and Seward’s comments represent her personal interpretation of the couple’s current situation.
