Prince Harry has been urged to avoid sending mixed signals as the debate over his UK security arrangements continues.
The Duke of Sussex had reportedly planned to return to England this month with Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. However, he is now said to have reconsidered the visit due to concerns over security measures.
Royal commentator Rebecca Russell claimed that Harry’s repeated public responses over the issue are damaging his image.
Writing for Express, Russell argued that the frequent back-and-forth from the Sussex camp, along with defensive statements, makes the couple appear less dignified and more like they are reacting emotionally.
She also suggested that Harry has a history of responding quickly without fully considering the consequences. Russell pointed to the early days of his relationship with Meghan, when he strongly criticized the treatment Meghan was receiving after their romance became public.
Prince Harry stepped back from royal duties in 2020 with Meghan and their son, Archie. The couple later moved to California, where they welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
Since leaving royal life, Harry and Meghan have openly discussed their struggles within the Royal Family, including allegations about racism and the pressures they faced behind palace walls.
