Prince Harry is reportedly more determined to rebuild his connection with the UK following a recent reunion with King Charles.
The Duke of Sussex, accompanied by Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, is said to have spent time with the monarch during a visit to Britain. According to royal sources cited by Radar Online, the meeting left Harry with a renewed appreciation for what he and his family have been missing.
An insider claimed that seeing King Charles in his role as a grandfather, while watching Archie and Lilibet explore a country tied closely to their family heritage, had a strong emotional impact on Harry.
“It has made him more determined to find a way back, at least part-time,” the source said.
A person close to Harry and Meghan claimed that the duke believes a compromise can be reached that would allow him to spend more time in Britain while continuing his life in the United States.
“He believes there must be a workable arrangement where he can be present in the UK with proper security while continuing the life he has built in the United States,” the source said. “In his mind, it does not have to be all or nothing.”
Another insider familiar with the reported meeting at Highgrove described the atmosphere as warmer than many people may have expected.
The source claimed there was genuine affection between Harry and his father, adding that Charles appeared delighted to spend time with his grandchildren in the UK.
According to the insider, the reunion reminded Harry of what the family could lose by continuing to stay apart and strengthened his belief that regular visits to Britain should be possible.
However, Harry is also reportedly aware that repairing relations with the royal family may require compromises from both him and Meghan.
The duke is said to have warned his wife that they may need to “swallow their pride” if they hope to receive another invitation and continue rebuilding their relationship with King Charles.
Neither Buckingham Palace nor representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have publicly confirmed the claims.
