King Charles’ reported meeting with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet has become one of the most talked-about royal moments in recent months. Now, an insider has shared new details about how the monarch allegedly felt after spending time with his grandchildren.
Archie and Lilibet are being raised in Montecito, California, away from much of the British royal family. Their limited contact with their royal relatives has left many people curious about what happened during the private family meeting.
According to a source quoted by Heat World, King Charles was immediately “charmed” by both Archie and Lilibet.
The insider claimed that the King now hopes to spend more time with them and build a closer relationship in the future.
“He wants to be able to spend more time with them going forward,” the source said.
Charles is also said to be hoping that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will eventually have the opportunity to spend time with their cousins.
The reported reunion may have encouraged the King to think about bringing the wider family together for Christmas. According to the insider, he would love for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to bring Archie and Lilibet to Britain so the family could celebrate the holiday together.
However, the source acknowledged that such a gathering currently appears “highly unlikely” because of the continuing tensions surrounding the Sussexes and the royal family.
Despite this, Charles is reportedly still hopeful that circumstances could improve.
“He’s holding out hope that something could change,” the insider claimed.
