Prince Harry was reportedly given clear instructions ahead of a private reunion with King Charles in the UK.
According to sources, the Duke of Sussex was told that the meeting would only go ahead if his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, were also present.
Harry is said to have met his estranged father at Highgrove, with the visit focused on giving the King and Queen Camilla an opportunity to spend time with their grandchildren.
“Certain topics were off limits,” a source told Us Weekly. “They all agreed beforehand that they would not discuss any topics making headlines in the press.”
The insider claimed the royal couple wanted the meeting to remain personal, relaxed and free from discussions about recent controversies.
“The King and Queen wanted personal time with their grandchildren, and they wanted it to be lighthearted and positive,” the source said. “The point of the meeting was to spend time with them, and that was the only thing on the agenda.”
According to the report, Their Majesties “would only agree to the meeting if the kids were coming.”
Prince Harry stepped back from royal duties in 2020 alongside his wife, Meghan Markle, and their son, Prince Archie. The family later moved to California, where Harry and Meghan welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
Since leaving the UK, the couple have publicly spoken about their difficulties within the Royal Family and made a number of serious allegations during interviews and other media appearances.
