Prince William is expected to keep things low-key this summer as he focuses on spending quality time with Princess Kate and their three children.
The Prince of Wales is reportedly looking forward to a peaceful break with his family and is said to have no plans to meet his younger brother, Prince Harry, during the holidays. Instead, William wants to make the most of the time before a significant new chapter begins for the Wales family.
Royal expert Charlotte Griffiths told the Daily Mail that this summer carries special importance as Prince George is expected to begin boarding school at Eton.
"William wants to hunker down with the kids," Griffiths said. "It's a really important summer for the Wales family."
She added that William enjoys escaping to Anmer Hall, where the family can relax away from the public eye and spend uninterrupted time together.
The prince's quiet summer plans could change for one reason, however. Royal correspondent Emily Nash told Page Six that William would likely attend the FIFA World Cup final if England were to reach the tournament's showpiece match.
"I think if England were to get to the final, then I'd be very surprised if William didn't attend," Nash said.
