Kensington Palace said the Prince of Wales began his day with Hastings’ fishing community, whose traditions have shaped the coastal town for more than 1,000 years.
During the visit, William met local fishermen to discuss the future of the UK’s largest beach-launched fishing fleet. He also toured the town’s famous black net shops, which have become a symbol of Hastings’ maritime heritage.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry visited Birmingham Children’s Hospital to mark the 20th anniversary of the WellChild Nurse programme.
The Duke of Sussex arrived in the United Kingdom late on Monday for a visit linked to the Invictus Games. His wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children remained in the United States, where the family has lived since 2020.
Harry and Meghan moved to the US after stepping back from their roles as senior members of the royal family.
