Prince William is reportedly unlikely to change his stance toward Prince Harry following the Duke of Sussex’s meeting with King Charles.
The reunion, which came after a gap of around four years, attracted widespread attention and raised questions about whether it could help repair relations within the Royal Family.
Royal biographer Robert Jobson, author of The Windsor Legacy, told Newsweek that William would not be overly concerned about his father spending time with Harry and his family. However, he suggested the Prince of Wales remains deeply hurt by the breakdown of his relationship with his younger brother.
According to Jobson, William feels betrayed and no longer trusts Harry, making a reconciliation between the brothers unlikely for now.
Royal author Ingrid Seward offered a similar view, saying William would probably prefer to stay out of the situation entirely.
She suggested his attitude is to let Harry and Meghan handle their relationship with the King without involving him. In her view, William currently has little reason to contact Harry and has shown no interest in pursuing a reunion.
Seward added that Harry’s wish to meet his father was understandable, but that the meeting should not be seen as a sign that relations between the two brothers are improving.
For now, King Charles’ reunion with Harry appears to have had little effect on William’s position, with the Prince of Wales reportedly remaining distant and cautious.
