Queen Camilla reportedly issued a firm warning about confidentiality following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s private meeting with King Charles.
According to New Idea, Camilla remained close to the King throughout the reunion to ensure the conversation stayed focused and Charles was not placed under pressure.
Royal insiders claimed Camilla’s main aim was to establish clear boundaries if Harry and Meghan hope to rebuild their relationship with the Royal Family.
The Duchess of Sussex was reportedly told that any details leaked from the private gathering could jeopardise future meetings. Camilla is said to have stressed that the reunion was arranged primarily for the benefit of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
According to the report, Meghan was warned that “the door would be closed forever” if information about the closed-door conversation became public.
One source claimed there were doubts within royal circles about whether the agreement would be respected. The insider described the meeting as a “test of their loyalties,” adding that any future involvement with the Royal Family would need to respect the King’s interests.
Sources close to Harry and Meghan, however, said the meeting was organised under strict secrecy and that the couple were pleased they had managed to keep the arrangements private.
