King Charles is reportedly taking a cautious approach to rebuilding his relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle following their reunion last month.
According to Woman’s Day, the monarch has faced some criticism over his renewed contact with the Sussexes, who now live in California. Sources claim that while Charles is open to improving family ties, he does not want the relationship to move too quickly.
The King is said to want to “rebuild it at a pace that’s comfortable for him.”
However, Harry and Meghan are reportedly more eager to build on the progress. A source claimed that Harry wants to see his father as often as possible and has already started discussing possible Christmas plans.
There has also reportedly been talk of Charles attending the Invictus Games in 2027, an event founded by Harry.
The insider alleged that both Harry and Meghan are keen to make up for lost time, but Charles believes the situation requires patience.
“Charles is just trying to take things as they come and keep the relationship on a more casual footing,” the source said.
The claims follow reports that Meghan spoke about the couple’s UK trip during a gathering in the US after they returned from meeting the King.
