Meghan Markle has reportedly asked Prince Harry to help secure public support from the royal family for her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
According to an unnamed source quoted by the Daily Star, the Duchess of Sussex hopes that a simple Instagram mention from a member of the royal family could give the brand a major boost.
The source claimed Meghan has sent gift baskets containing her new honey to King Charles, Queen Camilla and other members of the family.
“She’s convinced that once they try it, they’ll understand what all the fuss is about and want to get on board,” the source said.
However, the report claims Harry is reluctant to make such a request. While he is said to be Meghan’s “number one cheerleader,” the Duke of Sussex reportedly believes asking his family for commercial support could undo progress in their relationship.
The source suggested that Harry understands the monarchy cannot endorse private brands and does not want to raise Meghan’s expectations.
“They can’t suddenly start endorsing commercial brands,” the insider said. “He’s not going to set her up for another disappointment by promising that it can happen.”
The claims follow Harry and Meghan’s reported reunion with King Charles last month. Neither the Sussexes nor Buckingham Palace has publicly commented on the report.
